Rosé All Day 3 Pack $50
sommelier's choice, enjoy this rotating selection of local and European pinks!
Olga Raffault Chinon Rosé | cabernet franc | Loire 2019 $23
Crowley Willamette Valley Rosé | pinot noir | Oregon 2019 $21
"Crowley Wines was founded in 2005 with a focus on transparent, terroir-driven winemaking. Starting at the source, we favor older clones of Chardonnay and the classic Wadenswil and Pommard Pinot noir clones due to their late ripening nature and acid retention. We work with family owned vineyards and prefer cooler, high elevation sites. Our friends and growers are committed to non-irrigated and low impact farming. We are members of the Deep Roots Coalition and our primary vineyard sources are LIVE certified or certified organic. In the winery our highest priority is to create the most direct evidence of both vintage and place while making elegant and exciting wines. This means (wine geek alert!) minimal acid additions, no extraction enzyme, employing native yeasts, extended aging in mostly neutral oak and minimal fining or filtration. We value purity of expression over stylized wines and hold essential the belief that we cannot improve on nature."
Tessier Cheverny Rosé | pinot noir, gamay | Loire 2019 $26
So happy and loud
Blue flower echo
From a cherry cloud
Playgrounds will laugh
If you try to ask
"Is it cool?"
Bura | rukatac | Dalmatia, Croatia 2019 $22 (orange wine)
If you haven't seen pictures of the Dalmatian coast in Croatia, let's start there. Stunning, right? Now let's try this unique wine from there best described as "waxy and wily with the flavor of all things yellow, in the best way." It's good, isn't it? Now let's put them together, picture of Croatian coast + sip of vacation wine. We'll call it a vicarious vacay. It's almost like we're there!
Enderle & Moll "Weiss und Grau" | pinot gris, pinot blanc | Baden Germany 2018 $24 (orange wine)
"In Germany many insiders consider Enderle & Moll the country’s single greatest producer of Pinot Noir. That’s a wild claim to be sure, but then you taste the wines and you think to yourself, “…yeah, alright, well maybe…” The wines are that compelling. What you can say with certainty is Sven Enderle and Florian Moll fly in the face of just about every conventional estate in Baden. It’s hard to emphasize how contrarian (and even confrontational) their vineyard and cellar work appears to the powerful coops of the region, to say nothing of the “famous” estates who still seem to pursue efficiency, ripeness, size, alcohol and, yes, new oak, with abandon." - Vom Boden.
This isn't pinot noir but it is damn magical anyways. Satisfying for those who want a light orange or a rose, this is like biting into a freshly picked white peach while showering under warm summer rain.
Division Winemaking Company "l'Orange" | muller thurgau, sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, chenin | Oregon/Washington 2019 27.From our friends over at Division Winemaking Company comes this lovely skin contact blend of known and lesser known varieties grown across Oregon & Washington. Notes of gardenia, tangerine, eucalyptus, and the late summer countryside, this orange wine is the perfect summer splash.
A note on our wine program from Jess:
The wines found on in our wine programs are chosen for their quality and impeccable match to our charcuterie and cuisine. They are from producers that make wine in ways we want to support - they are stewards of the land, making wines in the manner that generations did before them: without chemicals and inputs, without modification or manipulation. They are sustainable, biodynamic, and/or organic, and are made in the most natural methods possible. Nearly all undergo wild yeast fermentation and express terroir in its truest form. They are from talented farmers and families with an unmatched passion to keep the joyous tradition of wine alive. Most are made in such small quantities we are fortunate to see them in our hands. I hope you enjoy these gems of the wine world as much as we do.
